cone snails i presume ???

kusuri stuff willl only kill the stupid ones..... most of the snails close up air tight when a toxin is present - only to reopen when its no longer there.....

put snails in a bottle of straight chlorine for a week then take them out and put em in a glass of tank water and within the day you'll see them swimming about again....

some people have gotten lucky using different methods - but there is no 100% fail safe method that will work all the time...

snails become abundant when feeding heavily and conditions favour them.... cut feeding down a bit and add a few loaches to control their numbers... they wont eradicate them but rather keep them to a manageable level...... some snail traps can also help keep numbers down...

my method of getting rid of cone snails is simple - dont introduce them in the first place.....

but seriously i do a complete restart - boil anything that your going to reuse in water and toss anything else out....

hose your tank out outside on lawn with good pressure hose few times to make sure there isnt any snails left

I got rid of all my cone snails by removing all the substrate and adding some clown loaches.

They were in the canister filers too but after a couple months of the regular periodic filter cleans no evidence of them now.

(I didn't have any plants in the tank).

it takes a while but was successful.

Just adding some clown loaches will get them under control, but not eliminate them.

Loaches!! Just don't count on any snails surviving, even big apple snails! Paki Loaches are my choice
