The Neosilurus Ater does NOT have ich. Its sand that the little idiot got all over its head.

Neosilurus showing a gold tinge, I believe this is breeding or breeding season colouring.  They won't breed in aquariums, though.P1010398_zpshmizbx8u.jpg

Thought someone might enjoy the underwater shots. I might get some more tomorrow, please share if you have any underwater shots, fw or marine.

Oooh cool! The Butis Butis has to be one of my most funniest fish. When I have my hands in the tank he sometimes floats over to have a look, but he's always moving when he does come over. Spinning around, going to the glass and doing all types of other things. How big is your Bullrout now Voodoo? Someone on a facebook group had an inch long one that he caught and kept, it was really cute.

Nice fish.

I would cover those heaters up. Catfish have a habit of burning themselves. A heater burn would ruin the aesthetics of the fish pretty quickly.

Thanks, took me a while to track them down, for natives at least. I moved the heater to the top of the tank today while thinking about that. I did once buy an Aquaone heater guard but it didn't fit, although it was made for that size. The Butis Butis never gets burnt as he's actually fairly active.

Don't you hate it when AI has the fish you really want but you can't find your fish money.

Agreed with Alex, heater covers are great, especially for bichirs and rays! Seen fish burns many a times.

Quite like that cattie too, much nicer than tandanus

The newest ones a bit nasty though. Barred Grunters Malawiman, this is the first time I've seen a store selling them

Sorry, forgot about this post (and taking the photos). The tank isn't in a suitable layout for taking photos now really, looks really bland and the fish are either afraid of my hand or prefer the driftwood. Bit of a pain due to the size too  :(

My Barred Grunters have started being annoying to the other fish... Stealing food from the Sleepy Cod, Butis and Barra and giving the Barra and occasional nip. Was a silly impulsive decision to buy them
