Adhesive Film As A Background?

Are they double sided? I don't want to put the background "in" the tank. Would stick on the back of the tank on the outside.

nope, single sided so would have to go in the tank...

Bummer. I'll have a look at the stick on sheet to put on the outside and try and work out if it's double sided.

I picked up a roll of PVC self adhesive film from Bunnings for $4.50 this morning. Went with "cork" as it was the closest thing to a plain colour I could find. Thinking about going red aquarium soil so the colour of easy to grow green aquarium plants will contrast well against the colour of the background and the substrate. Although it could just end up a plain white colour on the back of the adhesive stuff. Still better than no background, or one of those stick on backgrounds that get moisture in them.
this is the soil I'm considering going with

Looks ok, but can tell it’s el cheapo
I didn’t want to have a 3d background taking up too much room in the tank

Squeezed a dirty sponge from a filter in to the tank to cycle it, and have a couple of fancy goldfish cruising around the tank. Once it’s sysled and clean I’ll put a pair of blockheads in the tank.

There are some block heads available at city barn at the moment if you are interested they seem to have a lot of character.
