Morning all,

I have found out this morning that my maingano females is holding. Originally i seperated her into a DYI fry saver cause she was being picked on a bit more than usual by the male, it has been about a week now and i noticed this morning when i feed here that she spat out 2 fry, after she ate she took them back in her mouth. The fry have no egg sack and apear to be be roughly 1 cm in legnth.

SO my question is do i leave her in the fry saver till she spits them out for good or should i stip her?? she appears to want to go back to the rest of the tank, if i let her go with the fry they will most definately get eaten. She appears to be a good mother, by stripping here will it be detrimental in the future?? or will she likely eat them any way??

Any comments or opinions welcome

Cheers

Always best to let nature take it's place will make her stronger.
The fact was only too you should let hey go right to the end.
With her spitting before eating is a good sign she is a good parent.

it's time to milk her, then try and get her somewhere to hide so the male doesn't harrass her for more nookie
