Hi all,

I have decided to proceed with custom sump for my Jewel Vision 260. I know it was a bad idea move to marine with this tank. Now it is too late and can't be bothered going for new tank. Tank is running for two months now and I am getting more confident. But need two custom sump tank connected together. Can't drill tank either. So I will be using another small pump to feed water to sump. So that I can hide my skimmer and PO4 recator.

Any help with contact info who can make custom sump?

Paul at Morley can also sort you out with a custom sump.

He's made me a few big tanks, and they are good as gold 10 years later. Will be getting Paul to make me a big custom sump later on in the year.

I also have a tank made by Vebas, and no complaints there either.

Oil at aquotix builds very hight quality tanks and sumps. And offers a 10 year garrentee which is twice that of other tank builders.

Having a sump running by having one pump pumping water to it and another pumping water back to the tank (if that is what you are suggesting) is a recipe for disaster and something I would strongly recommend against.... almost 100% that something will go wrong and you'll end up with spilled water, a drained tank and/or burnt out pumps. Drilled tank or at least a proper overflow siphon box is the only way to safely have a sump. We have had customers drill Juwel tanks before so certainly can be done.

Cheers

Maybe you should save "go see Oli a Aquotix" on your phones clipboard.

It will save you typing it 10 times a day and stop autocorrect errors :)

Thanks for the recommendation. Yes most probably drilling is the only option. But tank is already running and there isn't much room at the back to do any work if I want to proceed with drilling.

Thanks guys. Didn't know aquatix can do sump? Will give them a buzz.
