Hi All,

I swap my two OS's with these fishes:
4 Lake Malawi Cichlid + two Monos:

I have heard that beef heart is not good for Lake Malawi cichlids. Can anyone have any advice? What about frozen blood worm?

Thanks a lot.

Malawi's can't handle too much protein in their diet, so beefheart and bloodworms are a no-no or very rare treat.

A lot of people here, including myself, feed New Life Spectrum Cichlid formula. Sera Flora is also popular.

Peacock Cichlid, Lombardi Strip Yellow and Metriacl Black Bar Zebra?

Are these name right?

Cheers,

G'day Mack,

Re, Fish names.

Most, if not all Aulonocara species are referred to as "Peacocks", so it could literally be anything. smile.gif

Pseudotropheus Lombardoi has now been renamed Metriaclima lombardoi, where the "Strip Yellow" came from I don't know.

As for the Metriacl Black Bar Zebra, that again could be almost anything.

There is also a chance that some could be hybrids.

If it is possible to posts some photo's this would also help with ID & correct names.

Hope this helps

Col
