Interesting read about the intestinal differences in WC and tank raised Tropheus:

QUOTE
The relative intestinal length of domesticTropheus moorii, raised in aquaria was significantly lower than that of wild individuals by a factor of 1.7, demonstrating a wide range of phenotypic adaptability.

I use NLS 1mm on my colonys of Ts with out any problems and will continue to do so
NLS is in my opinion is the best food for Ts I have used other products with out the good results but as mentioned must not be overfed
i feed NLS 1mm sinking pellets in the morning and NLS algae wafers in the evening

I have always with my Ts let them spit fry in tank and have not seen any of them get eaten by the adults
make sure you have plenty of hideholes for them and they will be fine

cheers
