Now that the water is very good in my community tank I'm looking to get some nice looking fish. Something that will get along with what's in there already.
I would love discus but need something that requires less attention.
So far I have:
16 cardinal and neons mix
2 small corydoras
8 black phantoms
4 tiny bristlenose
Its a 160l tank.
Any thoughts of what to put in and how many would be ok?
No plants in the tank.
Cheers
Would move 6 neons into planted tank if needed...

I'd be putting some plants and driftwood in, followed by either some angels and/or a couple of gouramis.

Hey,
have driftwood in already. Put in 4 plants 2 weeks ago to test something. Hoverer only gravel in the tank so not sure if they would last long. Tried to keep this one plant free. But well see.
Like the idea of angelfish... where is a good place to buy some?
Can't find one the albino bristelnose...

Some Rams or Apistogramma would look nice in there!

Apistogramma looks nice... Is anyone selling these?
So they get along with tetras and don't destroy plants like other cichlids?

I saw some nice Apistogramma Cacatuodies Super Red at Aquotix on the weekend... their bright orange-red colour would look great against the mix of colours you have in there already.

For mid-top level in the tank also I reckon angels or gouramis would look great, however I can't personally vouch for compatibility with the other fish as I don't own either of these species. If you want something super peaceful then maybe a small shoal of silver hatchetfish. I have some in my community tank and they make a great feature with their shimmering silver colour and interesting body shape/behaviour. Just make sure you have a tight lid on your tank though!
