Very nice Steve, your putting me to shame, I have to get my act together. blink.gif

Id watch that stick but, those branches are lots of spears waiting to do damage, its only a matter of time.

Cheers

lol yeah if were talking about what the redtails eaten aswell 3 ornates, a spotted gar, a royal knife and 100 neons.
the gator i dont trust in there.
the rays got snapped at by the red tail, so they came out pretty quick.
the temms and monochs are to small to go in yet as are the rest of the crew.
The gigas will outgrow here in about 10-12 months i would think. once he hits 1m ill move him to a bigger aquarium

Hey Steve

I went and grabbed a stack of those fake plants from the same place you got yours(near Pieces), I soaked them in the bath and they leached out some fine white froffy looking stuff that floated and the water went a bit milky, I've soaked and rinsed them a few times and the water seems pretty clear now, just wondering if you had any problems with yours and are you using carbon in your filters?

Cheers
Den

Hey Den yeah i got like an oil slick on top for about a week when the tank was cycling and then it vanished, about a month after that i added carbon to the filter About 1kg and change it out every other week.
i can get 20kg bags of carbon if your keen for $150

Hi Steve,

Just wanted to say...AWESOME tank mate.

1) Amazing expensive collection of fish
2) Crystal clear water
3) Amazing Photography skill

Can you tell me what type of filtration do you use for your tank?

Cheers

Hi Steve

I had a think about it and I think that "soup skin" that you had on the water surface might have been wax of the plants?

Cheers
Den
