Now that would be cool. Love the native stuff. Actually there’s a lot of fish I prefer over cichlids...... did I just say that on a cichlid forum? I wanted a big pond with Pygmy Perch some time back, but had a newborn when I was going to do it and the Mrs was worried about a potential kiddy drowning.... ah kids they’re so inconvenient.

Nah don't worry, even I often forget that this is a cichlid forum and not just for aquarium fish in general lol.

Ah yes, kids, you've gotta love em haha, it wouldn't be impossible to setup a pond with a kid around, safety grates are a thing.

I myself am thinking of setting up a small pond, to accomodate for the moaning frogs in my garden, and I'm thinking of adding a colony of pygmy perch, we'll see how that goes.

But yeh, it does sound cool, one man's mission to breed some endangered fish, lol. Been doing some research to plan this all out and I think I've got it all covered :D. Now I've just gotta get the fish...

Sorry for the brief hijack of your thread lol
