I am keen to get some too and was told by someone who lives in Lynwood/Ferndale that his local creek (Bannister Creek) has shrimps last time it rained a couple of weeks ago.  I am unsure if the creek still has water or not since it has been so hot over the last 4-5 days

All permanent water ways have glassies even some suburban lakes.

How do you catch them? I imagine they wouldn't be easy to spot. Do you set up traps?

try using a scoop net at night with a torch to spot them :)
