Krystal Black Sand

We have just received our order of 1-2mm Krystal Black Sand.
Available in 1kg and 10kg bags, it glistens when placed under water!
This substrate is nice and heavy so it's not easily sucked up into filter pick-ups.....If you like Tahitian Moon Sand then you will love this!

Available in:
1kg bags for $6ea
10kg bags for $35ea

PCS Club Members also get 10% Off

Pictures do not do this product any justice wink.gif

Is it actually Krystal Black Sand or Crystal Black Sand? or did you just name this after yourself Krystal? lol
Looks like a nice product would love to see some pics of it in a tank.

When do I get a product named after me? tongue.gif

This sand is SERIOUSLY nice guys, I had a gander at it last night. I might have to setup that spare 4x14 I have kicking around. It should look nice with plants and Rainbows smile.gif

Is the substrate Glass like Taihition moon? in which case it's not suitable for corys..

or is it natural rock? (unlikely with that colouration)

you can get a black glass sand from bunnings for $3.30 a kg which coincidently is also sold under Aqua One, and a few other Aquarium brands (same product).
it looks very similar to tahitian moon, but it doesn't have the different coloured grains mixed in like tahitian moon.

I got some at Gosnells aquariums under a aquarium brand (forget the brand) paid $5 a kg (with pcs discount), then got it home and realised it was identical to the bunnings product just different packaging. (you can only buy the bunnings stuff 1kg at a time though)

the downside of these glass substrates is that they are not really ok for Cory cats, as it can cut there barbles, the upside is that it's a black substrate that doesn't effect the PH at all.
