Oliver at Aquotix had some large heaters that were suitable for ponds FS some time ago. It may pay you to give him a call.

I am sure the other PCS Sponsors have heaters to suit your needs also.

There is a few theorys on this some people pump the water onto thier roof to use the sun for heating this is effective but requires you monitoring it to make sure its not too hot at 1200 litres to 300w jagaer heaters would do it set one at 22 degrees and one at 27 degrees or if you really want you can source a spa heater these are highly effective on a pond your size. Or as col suggested you can look at a proper 1000w pond heater. there is enough options there to suit any budget.

But one thing you should consider is if you are keeping cichlids in there is to get a cover for it at night this will help retain the heat

Daz...yep ...average temp is great. Heater doesent come on much in summer but winter can get down to frosts that destroy a lot of ground crops. No wonder the barra sit on the heater.

Deano, i think oliver would come up with something to do your job.Have you started the project? ...Cheers...Ray.
