Some of you may have noticed an additional button underneath each post, I have reassigned some functions and made an additional button. Here's what they do:

++ quote: the multi-quote button. let's you quote several posts in your reply
quote: does what it says - quotes the post in your reply
reply: let's you reply

This should cut down dramatically on the replies that contain unnecessary quoting, whilst still offering the function for those who want to use it deliberately.

Great! smile.gif

One little bit of confusion though, the two quote buttons look exactly the same? Maybe the new one needs to be '+ Quote'?

Kieran, the buttons do look different. Just empty your browser's cache or refresh the page a few times smile.gif

Kieran I am disappointed with your effort. You forgot to put quotes within quotes.

I am glad that it's smart enough to work out not to nest the quotes. Nested quotes are a pain in the a$$ when you're trying to read a perfectly nice thread.

If it were up to me I'd remove the individual 'reply' button on each post. But some people obviously still use it, judging by their immediate quotation of the post above them.

Dammit I only just got used to the fast reply now your telling me you fixed the normal reply nit to quote!!!

Lol

Good idea anyway I always found the quotes a pain when replying on my iPhone.

Gets a thumbs up from me either way.
