Hi all,

for some reason my "New Messages" button up the top right next to "My Friends", currently says " -1 New Messages " and i cant get rid of it?

Any ideas

it has a "-" sign in front of it.....no new messages

I had the same thing once went through my whole inbox and found one unopened message

been through inbox no new messages, it was saying 0 messages this morning, i recieved a message, it said 1 new message, i opened the message, now its gone to -1 new message

It shouldn't affect your ability to get messages.

Happened to me before but fixed itself - wasn't too bothered personally. Maybe get someone to send you some messages and see if it rectifies itself. Admins will have a better idea though

Never seen it before. It's possible someone sent you a message and retracted it.

Generally it would be what dazza said, some database take time to refresh the cache, if it does not effect you in use then I would not worry about it.

Microsoft Office 2010 and up has the ability to retract messages and every now and again my message count is in the minus, I would not worry unless it effects use of the PM system.

-1+1=0 ?
