Correct, if you want fish from AI, you'll have to go through a shop and I'm pretty sure some of the sponsors deal with AI ;)

And retail price for the 3.5cm fish would be around the $80 mark as Ive just looked at the wholesale price.

Great to see them about though. Means someone is still breeding them.

Yeah I'm aware of the above, hoping one of the shops here sees this post and hops on board.
Wouldn't be hard to sell whatever they get in *hint hint*

If you don't have any luck, PM me.  There is a breeder or two I know of but they aren't in WA.

With the current shipping costs, you're probably better off going through a sponsor anyway but if they can't get them in....

Steep price, but I think it's justified due to no one having any at all.

3.5cm at $80 is a bit risky.  I have a small colony on my display, but not a breeder so not sure what to do.  there are also a couple of people who owns these fish so they are in here.

If I'll buy some more, i'll just wait for the shops to hold it for a few months to grow survivors - and that's the ones i'll buy.  its risky also as there may be people eager to get their hands on them and in one click all the stocks are gone.

it  depends on how risk averse are you and if you are ready to spend $80 for a 50 cent size fish.

I've always been keen to get these guys. Would anyone know approx how old they would be at this size? Very tempted at the moment.

I don't think I'd chance it before they hit 5 or 6cm. 3.5 is pretty iffy.

I think "already have here" is a bit misleading. I am only aware of a single specimen here now.
