Reason so that instead of the next round of fish going onto the noxis list we can keep them on a special licence instead of losing them forever and maybe some time in the future we can get get some fish released from that list maybe
This place always promotes responsible fish keeping let’s make a initiative instead of waiting till it’s too late

I see you've already found this announcement:
link
PCS members can and should make their thoughts known to Tony as our representative of this group and I'm sure he will put forth the collective or majority view of our members. Note though that he's there to represent PCS members, not just anyone who posts on our forum and even though all opinions will be considered, it's those of the actual members that actually matter.
Support the club and it will support you

Imagine it.....Yeah i'll take your 10 Labidochromis Nkali for $50 but can i see your license first, and don't forget to fill out your log book and send it in to the authorities every 6 months. Oh and by the way, don't forget to pay the tax on the $50 you just made.
Give me a break, put this one to rest. You want a license, write 1 up on a little piece of paper, put your signature on it. There you go you got you license, i will even laminate it for you.

OFMIG have a number of sub committees, The TWG (Technical Working Group) which look at the fish listed and make recommendations as to which ones should be added to the Noxious list as they are classed as high risk by the risk Matrix and are of no interest to Industry or the Hobby. Another group are the Control Management group who will look at control options and make recommendations. These are looking at a number of options including but not limited to;
Education/Awareness,
Amnesty
Buyback
Permit
Registration
Ban
Sterilise
Microchip
No sale
No translocation
No breeding
Each of these options has their pros and Cons. They will each be assessed and a recommendation made.
The fortunate thing for us is that each state then has to decide if that recommendation is suitable for them. Each State is responsible for their control measures.
The WA Ornamental fish focus group ( About WA fisheries Focus group ) that has just been set up with the Dept. of Fisheries is the group that will discuss the recommendations from OFMIG (Both the TWG and Control options group) and discuss how best to proceed for WA. This may include asking OFMIG to return a nominated noxious fish back to the grey list for a higher level risk assessment. It also includes the Control options recommendations and looking to the most suitable outcome for us. This group has representation from both the hobby and industry and offers us the best opportunity to have an impact on decisions made for WA. Any recommendations made will go out for public comment before moving on to be made legislation.

You are quite right.
However you are asking the club to support you in keeping the fish you want, but you dont want to support the club by becoming a club member.

thats not my point
Its not about weather i should become amember or not as this will be geting off topic but i see you may like a good ols argument
Its about the club thinking about doing something constructive and helping or puting the idea through to some one else that knows about theses things its just a idea.
It starts with theses bigger fish that a lot of you dont care about cos you dont have them or have no intention to keep them thats ok cos you like what you like, but what happens when it extends to frontosa, flowewrhorns, and lots of other comunity fish like them its about preserving our rite to own or keep what suites our taste
I tell you guys a similar story a few years ago i herd of a goverment writ that said if you associate with bikies more than three times you may be able to be charged with association, now a lot of people said bull shit wont happen and cant happen well well look now i cant ride my bike with my mates with out geting pulled over every three times out and i cant talk to them at clubs i work out over fear of getting charged.
Im very passionate about fish and keeping fish take with it what ever you may it does not matter as people will still keep noxis fish no matter what.
look at it like this dont be selfish to future generations to suit your self now try and put back into the hobbie what you have taken out thats all i have to say

Really you don't talk to your bikie mates because of that? Sounds like a load of snot to me, your mates with bikies yet you're a "rules and law" loving, "i need a license" loving wuss. It wouldn't suprise me if you're a snakehead.
