September Auction
#1
Posted 15 August 2011 - 05:05 PM
The September meeting will be an auction.....Saturday the 3rd and in preparation I would like to start taking bookings for lots.
The doors will open at 2pm to start processing lots and the auction will start at 3pm.
PLS note no lots will be accepted into the auction after 3pm (pre-booked or not)
PM me or post here and make sure to include the following:
Name - common and scientific, size, number, sex where possible and a reserve if wanted.
* If you Pre book your lots pls be sure to bring exactly what you booked in as it is very time consuming to change the auction list on the night.
* Doors will open at 2pm, please come early with lots so they can be processed before 3pm.
* Lots (selling) are only open to Club Members but you can become one on the day. Anyone can bid / buy. General Public are welcome to attend.
* If you have a picture of the actual fish you would like to use for the slide, send it to me with the lot details and I'll have it up when your lot is up for auction.
* Lots will be accepted on the day but would prefer to have them pre-booked before hand so everything runs smoother.
* There is a limit of lots that are brought and booked in on the night which is now 5 per person, hence pre-bookings are encouraged. We are also introduciing a $5 fee per lot that is not pre booked ...this will have to be paid before we accept the lots and will be non refundable. There is no limit on the number of lots that are pre-booked.
* Fish bagged incorrectly will not be accepted. No sandwich bags or ziplock bags allowed. There will be a $1 charge for the re-bagging of fish
* The pcs takes a 10% commission on all sales at the auction.
Club Location info here - http://www.perthcich...showtopic=29670
Please familiarize yourself with the full Auction by-laws here - CLICK ME
Please note . . pre booking will close on Wed the 31st of August ....No pre booking will be accepted after this time.
If you have any queries feel free to ( PM ME ) or any of the Committee Members.
* Seen as it is going to be a Sat arvo we will also have a sausage sizzle going for a gold coin donation?
We are also trialing a "charity lot/lots" event in this auction and hope that all members will dig deep to make it a success.
The first lot has already been put together by the committee of a complete tank set up 2x1.5x1.5 tank filter heater sand limestone and a pair of Neolamprologus caudopunctatus.
Donated lots can be anything usually sold at the auction and can be as little as 1 fish in a bag.
We really hope you guys will get around this idea and secure it as a regular thing every auction from now on as we see this as a win for all.
75% of the money raised will be going to Telethon and 25% to go to a different charity each auction with the first being RSPCA.
All feedback and questions or ideas are welcome.
Cheers
Brad.
