Was great to see so many new faces, I had a blast meeting and chatting with quite a few new faces last night and look forward to seeing some of their setups in the near future and sharing mine with them too!

Hopefully they had some fun and come back next time...after all they certainly took home some very very cheap fish and some very rare ones at that but well worth in my opinion it if it means their love of the hobby grows stronger which in turn means the society does too!

Would be good to see more of the veterans there next time I say! With so many new faces it shows our hobby is continuing to attract however its the vets who are responsible to ensure the newbies stay and and the hobby grows just the same as those before us did with us...simply by making the effort to make them feel welcome, get involved with them, mingle, chat, participate, offer advice and share knowledge / experience. Real easy and super enjoyable too given we love this stuff...plus they may have even gotten their hands on their own new beauties at the same time! Win win!!!
