There is some process you can do to normal brine shrimp eggs that oftens the shell and increases the hatch rate. Cant remember what the chemical make up of the solution is.

You can guarntee a good hatch rate with higher tempretures and good water circulation with softening the egg shells.

All up I used to have extremely high salt content, water at 26-27c and soaking the eggs in the solution for 30 mins guarnteed 80% hatch rate providing the eggs where good in the first place and not stale.

You need 4, 2 litre softdrink bottles go get a good 4 day old hatchling cycle going.

I have a brine shrimp hatchery, I bough it years ago, set it up, hatched hundreds of brine shrimp, then forgot about it and they all died, and I havn't moved it since (8 years later)

maybe I should try using it now

The process saudukar mentioned is Decapsultion.

It involves using bleach to strip the outer shell of the brine shrimp eggs and results in higher hatch rates.

Please visit the following link for information and the process:

You can either use bleach or pool chlorine, the process takes longer using bleach. The process burns off the chorion (the outer shell) to increase hatch rates and nutritional quality of the nauplii.
Because the nauplii are expending less energy hatching from their cysts, they they have more yolk left in their reserves so it makes them more nutritious for the fish.

The predecapsulated cysts are great, I've personally used them and they save you a heap of time, and they're pretty much ready to go as they come in a small bottle, and you just let a few drops come out of the bottle.
