Hi guys,

Just about finished diggin the hole in the ground for the pond... now I'm told we need to put in something before the liner to pad it out - eg old carpet or carpet underlay.

Question is, anyone know a good place to get the above, or know alternatives to using those..

:cheers
Vincent

Hi mtchye, Benga Boy is right on the the money for the carpet and underlay .You can also use white or yellow sand to do the same job.If you use pvc liner (500um) the need for padding on the side is not really needed.I've never padded the sides with no dramas.Talk to the boys at WaterGarden World they will give you all the advice you need .CHEERS MAXX:mb

Thanks guys, good tips. I always wondered what the padding of the sides was for? I have picked the brain of one of the guys at Watergarden World and he was very helpful as well. (Thanks Iain!)

Hope to complete this soon and get some tropicals in it for summer! :)

:cheers
