So last night at the auction i saw the ehiem pro gravel vac. I was inspired so i thought i would build a more powerful version for my bare bottom tanks running a 700lph pump I'll be testing it out tomorrow hopefully. My plan is to start sharing more of my diy ideas on here. Ps i was thinking about making one using a old gravel vac for my gravel tanks obliviously this pipe ive used would be to small

Some mad DIY skills you got there bro. Just in time for the relaunch of the new MacGyver tv series.
Can you do a video of it in action once you have it going?

I think the idea is to do a quick clean in between the water-changes - DIY inspired by the Eheim Quick Vac Pro

Ahh nice, this would work wonders in my bnose fry raising tank with the amount of wood sediment they leave.

Hmmm...... how much?? :-)

I must be missing something here.

I watched the vid and if I want to do that, like when I am cleaning out the last of the substrate when emptying a tank, I just drop in a hose and use gravity feed.

If I want to save any of that substrate I just run the hose into a bucket first.
