Awsome idea, i would let it run for a couple of weeks with no fish and check the temp in the morning and night if it stays at a steady number go for gold.

I'd sit the pond on foam to stop the chill coming up from the ground.

is that wc 7 bar frontosa from germany brickwall.gif

wc is a myth... unless you were there and caught them yourself you can be assured they are bred in captivity in other countries and then sold to us aussies as wc fish to rip us off with higher prices... as for f1 and f2 etc... just to charge you more money as well... smile.gif just buy/sell fish on their own merits...

i think you'll find they are line bred in other countries to get such great colouring and bars... you dont think they come from the wild looking so perfect do you.... brickwall.gif

a lot of people know ravi then... and then you'll know a lot of stuff comes from germany, thailand etc.... im only guessing but i'd say thats where frontosas are coming from....

the only guarantee of wc fish are those species that havent been bred in aquaria.... people will do/say anything to make money...

same with the majority of all fish... bred in countries where labour is cheap hence fish price is cheap too...

when the cost associated with collecting wc fish exceeds breeding cost of these fish then you can bet you wont be getting wc fish... fish breeding is huge throughout asia now...
