Glass Cleaner Needed

Noticed some green algae growing behind the underwater lights last night. It's on the glass but hard to get to without shifting the light.
There is a small gap and I'm wondering if people use anything special for cleaning algae off glass behind equipment? This is bit of a problem for the lights, filters and uv unit.
Gap ranges from maybe 5mm to 10mm so thinking of trying kitchen cleaning scrubbing pads as I assume these won't scratch the glass?
I was thinking of trying some peroxide as well which I've found excellent for BBA but not so good for green algae.

There are these Penn Plax algae scrubbing sponges that are thin for cleaning glass.
i saw some at Pet Magic.

I think doing so many changes last weekend has unbalanced the tank a bit (which I'll have to remember next time I get bored with it).

Hi, I'd probably be tempted but unfortunately will probably miss the auction. For the second auction (er, I think) it has managed to fall out again that I fly up to Newman tomorrow morning and back in to Perth that night a bit late (grumble, grumble, mumble).
