Hi guys

I have just squired a larger than normal tank without a cabinet or stand. I have rung a couple of aquarium shops and they have advised me to talk directly with a carpenter or steel fabricator rather than them charging me a margin on what they would pay.

Does anyone know anyone who would do a good job on a stainless steel or treated pine stand. Haven't decided which way to go yet? The size is 2700mm long and 750 mm wide.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Jamievb
Cladding steel stands, particularly stainless, with panels is not easy in terms of hinging and such - have a chat to me when you have a chance - I am currently putting together designs of metal framed cabinetry for oversized aquariums to suit our new fibreglass backgrounds and some of our commercial setups... I will be putting them together at the shop - cutting out a middle man - Email me directly on oliver@aquotix.com.au with dimentions and colour requirements of the cabinetry and Ill get back to you with what I can do.
