You just have to work out how to fit that pond inside somewhere now johnno. You could fit a few rays in that!!!

well the sub adults ive seen are nearing 40cm disk's so pretty sure the freshwater rays arnt "small"

wouldnt keep them in anything less than a 6x3 tank but even then is pushing it......someone on here has 4 in a 8x3 and they can cruise the length of that quiet quickly so definantly bigger the better

I don't think you are getting my point and realize just how dangerouse thier sting is?

The price being lowerd so much is what depleted stocks
Dosent mean thier is no pure motoros around thier is still lots
But the breeders arnt trying to breed them anymore due to the price dropping
So low in the past it's just not worth the effort..

The main reason for cross breeding in aus is the fact we don't have ready access to the rarer species
And trying to make the best of what we can get

No ones taken my posts down? Maybe because it's a bit cooler than your mainstream FH that every man and his dog has got? Or have a forum for they can go to?

I agree whole heartedly.

The last sentence sums this whole debate up perfectly. People who are not in the know, just don't understand this.

Motoros should go for an usually do for $400 - 600 depending on quality. People can claim what they like selling them for $250. Trying to undercut everyone, you aren't doing anyone any favours, including yourselves.

Like I have said before, I'd rather buy direct from a breeder and not a middle man. Breeders will always follow up with advice and help if needed + the animal is not being moved to multiple tanks in a shor space of time at such a dragile part of its life.

Didn't TISM do a song about this?

(sung to the tune of "I'm on the drug that killed River Phoenix")

I want the ray!

I want the ray!

I want the ray that killed Steve Irwin!
