There's an article in today's West on rainbow fish, quoting our own Chris Bars and Graeme White.

It's on page 10 of the Habitat section...I've attached a barely readable scan for those who missed it

That's pretty cool. Rainbow fish are very under rated fish.

I'd hazard a guess as M.Trifasciata (Cato River)

Those are melanotaenia trifasciata. Prolly the Cape Arnhem variety, IMHO.
