Come and join us for an afternoon of fun, food and fish talk. Bring your family and enjoy a nice bit of BBQ on us. Have a chit chat about aquariums, play a few rounds of lawn bowls even. This year's PCS Members Family BBQ Day will be held at the Morley Noranda Recreation Club boasting a lovely room with air-con, plenty of chairs and tables, an awesome outdoor patio BBQ area and plenty of grass for the kids. We have a great raffle for the New Year, with major prizes and plenty other goods. We will be hosting a little bowls competition. We will be announcing grand prize winner for 2016 Photo Comp and the grand prize winners for the Aquascaping Competition 2016.

That's right. Come and grab a plate of food free from the PCS. Sit and have a chat about fish, ponds, aquariums or anything else you fancy. We will be firing up the BBQ and offering some meaty morsels along with some fresh salads and coleslaw. We'll have potato salad and buns also. The venue is fully licensed, so there are soft drinks available from the club bar and a decent range of adult beverages. There is no BYOD to this licensed venue and please remember it is a 'Family' Fun Day, there will be children around. PCS will run a small tab for soft drinks only from the bar.

We will be having a little competition for all ages to play some lawn bowls and you could win a great prize pack from our sponsors. If you wish to participate for a bit of fun let us know on the day. You will need to bowl in bare foot or smooth flat shoes only.

The Morley Noranda Recreation Club is located at 85 McGilvray Ave, Noranda WA 6062. You'll find it just off Morley Drive. There is plenty of parking free at the club and public transport not far away. It has great grassed areas and open parks close by. The club and bar will remain open until 6pm for those who wish to stay a little bit longer.

We will be having a great PCS Raffle this month with major prizes. Prize totals are over $600 in goods. Please remember 20% of all tickets sold will go to the Stuart Grant Cichlid Preservation Fund. Raffle prizes inlcude:

  • 2kg Tub of Sera food from Rob's Aquariums
  • AquaPro 1800 External Filter from Midland Pets.
  • Plenty of other raffle goods on offer so make sure you grab some tickets.

We will also be announcing the winner of the December Photo Competition with prizes from Seachem and Pet Magic vouchers to give away, so get your entry for this month in. We will also be announcing the winner of the 2016 PCS Photo Competition.

We will also be announcing the grand prize and the grand prize winners for the Aquascaping Competition 2016 with prizes from Aquarium Gallery Perth and other sponsors.

All PCS members are welcome. Please bring your immediate family along. Plates of food are limited, please RSVP to Richard (Dicky7) with how many people you are bringing along before Tuesday 3rd January so he can organise the meals. If you are bringing more than 3-4 guests special arrangements need to be made, please PM a committee member and speak to us before you come along. Hope to see you there Sunday, January 8th.

Doors open at 11:00am until 3:00pm at the Morley Noranda Recreation Club.

It is with heavy heart that I would like to inform everyone this meeting is now cancelled.

There were a lot of committee members with other commitments leaving a bit light on staff and a very low attendance via RSVP from members. We realise it's a weekend and during holiday season and folks have other plans.

The effort and cost that goes into this type of meeting just was not quite worth the attendance figures we were getting. We are very sorry to those that may be inconvenienced by this, but it is better to cancel now and announce it then do it at the last minute.

Prizes that would have been awarded at this meeting will instead be awarded at the next 2 meetings in February and March.

We have had good attendance at regular meetings (especially auction nights) for the past year and we hope to continue that trend. Please come along to the regular PCS meetings.

Bummer. That really sucks as I could finally make this one. :(

Just a thought I had recently. What are the chances of maybe once every, say 6 months or so, having a meeting up in the northern corridor of the metro area? There are lots of fish keepers up this way, however we have few stores (morley and Rob's are basically north central from here) and little representation up here so it keeps us/them isolated from the scene. Just a thought no biggy, just thought it could greatlyexpand the club's influence/member base.

This is a shame. Always a fun day. I could due to work commitments but still a shame that no one can go now. Support the club that supports you

Yeah sorry guys.
It's a shame, but spending over 1k in club money, organizing games, prices, food, for around 10 people (including committees) isn't really worth it. Better if the club spends that much effort and $ for other occasions where more people will be able to attend... hopefully will see you all at February auction!

Oh well guess i'll do water changes instead, such a shame. That's what happens folks when you leave it to the last minute and don't commit.
