You should invest in a dosing pump and you wont have to worry about dosing ferts.
I have been thinking about doing that but i enjoy the daily "hello fishies!" routine, especially with the baby angelfish I just picked up on the weekend. So cute!

Kind of tempting :)

Lol, I do like angelfish - always up to something and not hiding away.

The yoyo loaches are great but always off chasing their tail or something.

Good news is this plant is now staying in the pot. Bad news is there is one leaf left. Roll on next auction I think :)

Hold the fort Batman! Several new leaves have appeared in last week. Plant now before it got photo-bombed by fish.

Plant still hanging in there. Getting some green algae on glass so will have to clean that soon.

Hoping to get some indoor plants and wondering how these would go next to tank? Thinking of getting a stand for them or something.

Water change again today. Bit of plant pruning as the anubias is getting lost.

Readings from last night were just above 2ppm phosphate and 20ppm nitrates so curses on the water change.

Plant in pot has 8 leaves now! Doing very well despite being buried deep so just leaving as is. Extra nitrates dosing and CO2 helping on think - more on target. Fingers crossed!!

Lol - I tossed out half a 5 gallon container of java fern and will put another pot plant there instead for moment. Have to pull the bolbitis out next weekend and prune it.

Realised buying guppies and angelfish wasn’t my best move but so far ok.

Hope to get photos later. Might toss the other side java fern as well.

The internal filter was blocked solid has hadn’t cleaned it in ages - oops! Running better now.

And got a new CO2 bottle so will also hook that up.

Both kids sick else would grab them for a hand doing pot plant.

Found the auction guide.

Barclaya longifolia (red) again - always intended to try two pots of these.

Couple of snaps - tank still the same pretty much in this rental. New plant at front with toothpicks holding it down. Spewing on other potplant - I didn’t realise the pattern is only spray on or something.

Idea is to throw out the java fern on other side eventually if the bolbitis keeps spreading and doing well. Will see - something different anyways.

Looks awesome, definitely my favorite 3 plant species growing in there, very nice.

I still think a solid colour back drop would make it look even better.

Thought about growing plants on the sides of the pots? They look porous so something would eventually root to it.

Are you going to add more fish? a group of neon rainbows in there or a big group of blue eyes would look nice!

Thanks! Would love to do more with it and get rid of background - just suckth at moment as I’m hoping to shift in October or November so have been leaving as it is. Does look pretty bad.

Would like to do discus next but just waiting around

That’s a great idea on sides of pots.

Replanted and so far staying put. The soil pellets aren’t great for holding plants down and still have a lot of air it seems. Added a plant weight to help.

Plant still staying there - no new growth yet but hoping it is doing something. I think the light timer is gone - have to check tonight.

New angelfish settled in well. Causing a bit of in-fighting amongst the original three I suspect. Guppy looks more relaxed.

Lost three leaves off the new plant overnight - still staying in pot so hoping it is just getting set for a second wind of growth.

I went to Vebas on the weekend and saw they have the Madagascar Lace plant cheap cheap. One of them would look mint in your tank. Do it!

That’s a great idea

So kids have been sick and haven’t made it to the shops. But the new plant looks to be putting out a new leaf so fingers crossed. Really thinking of tossing the remaining java fern. Let the bolbitis fern take over the tank.

One of the fish did a runner on the weekend and cleared out of the tank. Luckily was passing by and after a hunt around managed to get it back in the tank. Seems to be doing fine from the 6ft drop!
