Hello i have just cleaned my tank out and to discover my bristle nose trio has had babies, this was a shock as i bought them as babies and have kept them for about 4 months maybe at tops, so they're in my Malawi tank and i want to keep the little fighters alive ive saved about 8 and put them in a fry saver box in the same tank, should i have done this? what should i do now, should i move the trio to a species only tank to maximise the fry? how long till they spawn again?, this must be an awsome trio as they have all grown up together, also they might be inbred does this make a huge difference? and in the same fry saver net would i be able to put fish fry?

inbreeding is frowned upon... especially long term as it damages the gene pools...
having said that years ago i inbred b/n 4 times without any deformities/probs... 5th generation was disasterous... random fry deaths and bent tails and deformed heads/mouths etc.... so from experience outsource new blood into your colony every 1-3 generations if you want to keep your fry healthy and not deformed....
some people have no idea how inbred their b/n are when they get them and this maybe a contributing factor in them having continual fry deaths as their genetic make up is weakened considerably....
a sneaky breeder would breed 3rd generation inbred b/n and sell 4th generation fry... unsuspecting person with 4th generation fry grows them up and inbreeds them together and has nothing but problems... restricts fry numbers being bred... but also damages gene pool if its a rare fish and no new blood can be outsourced....
a professional breeder would get a species and split them into 2 colonies and breed them... keeping offspring seperate from each colony... then in future generations can outsource new blood from each colony from the other colony... also he may sell fry from both colonies to people and mix them for customer...

also something i was told and ive found is fairly true, make sure you dont feed them any meat protein etc, zuccini is GREAT and also the HBH brand algae wafers, ive not had much luck with some brands and have lost entire batches of fry to bloat

ooops i fed them bloodworms 0.0 so what you mean is let these bn breed 3 times, then go find another male ? or save a few fry to grow up 3 times and sell the 4th gen off completely

No. Pretty well everything else eats bristlenose fry, but bristlenose don't.
I prefer japanese/kent pumpkin to zucchini, as it it tidier.
