I often take this route as Westie suggested.

Luckily the wife doesnt mind if I keep another one, as she quotes, they are 'cuties'.

Heres a sibling from last years batch I kept. If you scroll back a few pages youll see the previous pups.

This one continues to darken in the base yet brighten in the spots!

My Jack Dempsey's have spawned. Might try raising the fry until the pair sells. Anyone have any tips?

The biggest male and biggest female of the juvie cyprichromis leptosoma utinta's I bought at the February auction decided to do their little dance today. Me and the missus were writing out a shopping list in the office when we noticed the male chase everyone away from a centre point in the tank. Then they proceeded to do the drop and catch circle routine with her eggs and now she's holding. We're pretty excited as they are the first cichlids we've managed to get spawn so far. They're young still and it's their first spawn so we're keeping our hopes low but it was still awesome to be able to sit and watch the whole spawning.  :D

He's the male

Some baby tropheus at different stages. Today was a busy spawning day, feel I’ve for once nailed the timing for new water food and the weather.

Do you want to swap some pretty malawi Aulonocara for some little Tangs :)

Fire fish ....  My tropheus give us a baby 6 times a year.

Seeing this makes me sad as most of them spontaneously died recently.  Have a few babies hopefully along with a couple of adult survivors.  We should start a co post which is what died in your tank this week :)
