Hi,

So everyone says to take carbon out of the filter and turn off UV when medicating, which obviously makes a bunch of sense. But, do you have to turn off the UV and take out the carbon when medicating fish via food? I take it carbon and UV purge medication from the water when it runs through the filter, but medicated food doesn't goes directly into the fish's intestinal tract and so they get the medicine dosage they need instantly. Given that (despite what I've read about the blanket rule of turning off UV and removing carbon), does this mean it makes no difference leaving your carbon in when food medicating fish?

Thoughts?

Yes there is no need to switch of the UV and take out the carbon when medicating with food. It's the best way to medicate imo.
