Sorry I didn't expand earlyer. A friend was over so I hastily sent that last post without completion. So anyways:
A design which im starting this weekend I thought i might try an open pore sponge, the filter kind.
I've read them being cultured on sponge material in the past, but only on the surface. So i was thinking this:
I slice a piece of open pore sponge into 4 pieces, glue a styrofoam/cork base to them, then rejoin with the sponge sitting at the bottem. Add a coverglass on top. The idea being that when the worms breed the colonate the 4 pieces of sponge, and every so often a piece is removed of the 4 and floated upside down in the tank. Sorta acting like a feeder at the same time, and keeping the sponges clean, as long as you dont leave the culture to fester before doing it...
Adding the piece of sponge back in place several hours later, and allow for them to recolnised that section.
What do you think? I can post pics of it being setup n trialed if anyone is interested?
