hi all i have a breeding trio of bn i hade for 2 weeks and one female is fat live very fat is she ok? and my male will not stop chasing the outher females away from his cave

Fat usually means she's ready to spawn , they get fat with eggs wink.gif

Have you thort of maybe doing some research into things. Might save you a lot of time and worry in the end.

Bloat, bacterial infection or intenstinal blockage can all cause the belly to swell up on catfish. Common cause is bad or rotten food or poor water quality.

pregnant fish and bloated fish look very much the same.
i remember when my fish was bloated he scales lifted and became spiky like a pine
cone.

its easy to see, so have a look at your bristlenose
although its normally to late.

anyone who knows better please correct me.

yes i have 2caves but the big male is not letting most of the females near it

What are you feeding them, what filtration you using how often you water changing ?
There in a 30L tank right.

i feed them fresh vegies i do water change wensday and thirsday im shure there in a 30L tank but i chlud be 45L i forgot but i allso have a outher tank wilth breeding bn shlud i put all my bn in one tank? in a 216L ?

How many adult bn are in the 30-45L tank. What filtration are you using

iv got a under gravel filter and 2 super good sponge filters in this tank i have 1m and 2f and same in by outher breeding tank

super good sponge filters where do I get me some of those I only use the standard ones hehe.

Filtration should be ok but there wouldn't be much room left in a 30L once you put the sponges and caves in. Do you have some wood in there for them to chomp on.
