QUOTE (Anka @ Aug 22 2012, 05:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I thought I'd have the same problem with turning my ball valves but as long as you don't let a woman do it (i.e. it doesn't get turned around the wrong way) and you hold it steady it is fine. A bit of lubricant also helps.

I have a dirty mind sometimes. I had to read this sentence twice ohmy.gif

Quick update.

Half tank fill to make sure there are no disasters, to allow easy access to scape further and to keep the filter running (already seeded).
Digi thermometer and heater will be hidden later (will go for an inline).
Added a few tank mates to feed the filter.

Next will be substrate, wood and plants to hide the pipework and create some cover.
Lighting to be mounted into hood.

Another update.

Substrate added (white sand)
Some plants to create cover / shaded areas. Will resposition them a bit better later.
More fish.

Anyone know if the fish @ 37secs are silver dollars, red hook or something else?

Some new additions and pics -

Red snook (thanks Dale)

Grey giant gourami. I hope this guy doesn't destroy his tank mates. All good... so far!

Green snook sizing himself against the gourami (they're ~25cm). Dinner plate sized silver dollar in the front.

Scats. These are wierd fish to watch and poo eaters too!

Red Oscar (thanks Vebas) looks like your old one SamJohns
