Yeah I don't mind the hard work hey!
Slowly popping fish in now. Was going to wait til the two side lids were ready. But I got impatient and used some scrap ply to cover them for the mean time. "only short term obviously" The sump has been running fine now for a few days and I've had a canister filter I previously had running, running through the sump as well. There all pretty hardy fish and I have 50Ltrs of media in the sump, so should be fine to cycle it.
I'll wait for the lids to put the 40cm Jardini and ID shark in. I've left my Snooks alone to hopefully spawn again in my 6x2.
40cm Plec looks small again in here.
Little gold spot.
Sitting back having a few beers. Feels like a good achievement. Lighting looks horrible in the iPhone pic. I am planning on hanging a light from the beam above. If anybody has any lighting suggestions I'd be more than happy to hear some input.

I got a little bit impaitent and wanted to start adding fish over a period of time. I got some ply left over from the stand top and it does the trick for now!
I have moved alot of the fish I want to put in there I already have. The Jardini being the last one tonight. I have a pair of Snooks that will be going in there also. But I have left them in a 6x2 of there own to see if they spawn again.
A few pics for now. Next pictures I post I think I'll put in the photography/discussion section when I have got the correct lighting, all fish are in and I have the front cover sorted.

After having so many. But this one looked great and was cheap as chips!
He's an angry little fella. Put the Jardini twice his size in tonight and he was still shaping up to it when I turned the lightbout and come inside haha. Hopefully he doesn't bit off more than he can chew.

Happened before I got him.
Got stuck in a filter or something apparently.
It just adds more character as far as I'm concerned. He's a bog boy! Still so active. Constantly swimming round all levels of the tank. He loves to swim upside down rite at the top of the water level as well. Pretty cool to watch!

I know where I can get one at the moment (won't be doing it until the tanks been set up for a while and everything running smoothly) But I have never kept one before so some insight would be great
They are usually sold in pairs I see. I would like to get one to start with. Are they okay being kept by them selves?

Haven't really done much more to this as far as hardware goes, accept for collecting the glass lids from Aquotix. Good to get rid of the side "makeshift ply ones"
Alrhough tonight I did pull a piece of wood I had lying flat on the substrate out. Found it was breaking down/getting to much crap caught underneath. Also moved all the wood around so minmal debris can get caught and added a 2000LPH powerhead to bottom back left corner to move anything that might get stuck.
Waters still a bit murky but thought I'd chuck a couple of photos up to cure some bordem..
Really enjoying this project and when it is complete I can see me going twice as big again!

Cheers mate. This was a while ago.
Male Dovii killed that snook along with a big pair of red snooks when I had them in a pond.
I have moved house since those photos. Here is a pic of the tank now.

Aquotix had some green snooks last time I was there. Nice ones to.
