What is a drop kick?

drop kick
Noun: (formerly, in football) A kick for a goal made by dropping the ball and kicking after it touches the ground.

I emptied the filter again this afternoon, and unscrewed the pump, then took the impellar out.
I then made sure that the impeller was as clean as a whistle, and made sure the canister basket was clean too.
I put the filter back together and turned it back on, and it seems really quiet, so hopefully I wont need to buy an eheim yet

Or you could get an eheim compact 3000 and set he pump up externally inline pushing water through the FX5. Super quiet ,reliable and a lot cheaper then buying a new canister . Problem solved smile.gif

Dude the filter was so quiet. I just slept for 7 hours straight. It was awesome!
