The dovii in that pic was actually in Perth. A bloke called Rod owned it. That is actually my female that you can see in some of the clip.

It got to around 22" from memory. One of the best dovii I have ever seen, quite young too. 2-3 years old. fed exclusively on those small carnivore disks.

It actually smased its eye one day and it dealed up a bit oddly. Rod killed it because he didnt want a les than perfect fish blink.gif wich was absolutely stupid.

Tank is a 6x2.5x2.5 plenty of space. It's just that his territory extends past the limitations of the glass.

Awesome looking fish. I can't believe he killed it because of a wonky eye.

God help Den if they ever meet... laugh.gif

Cool. How fast do they grow?

Lets say I bought a 6cm fish, how long before they reach full size?

They love playing with manganos...or eating them?? tongue.gif

I was actually thinking about getting one but after seeing this video I had a reality check. I couldn't house this fish very long especially with the other expensive fish I have.

Well he does with the female. He kept knocking down the barrier i put up between them and he actually moves a large (read 1kg) limestone rock when he chases her through it. And it doesn't even faze him when he does this and also hits the glass at full speed. Absolute meat heads.
