Well can some arrange a dealer over east or can some one provide us with a good contact.
Dave06- that would be great as that is the main problem I would have.
I am also going to contact AQIS some time this weekend perhaps, in regards to bringing arrowanas across, to get the exact conditions

That must be a Saratoga, silver arro cost around $300 to $350 10 to 15 cm few years ago. For anyone of thinking getting one make sure you got the right tank size for this fish at least 6x2x2 or 2 1/2 wide is better. They grow fast in 6 months they can reach up to 20 to 25 cm. I will ask around if you guys are really keen.

look if you want one simply locate someone selling one... and freight it over... only look for snails and plants... and god forbid if a quarantine officer could even identify the difference between a saratoga and a silver arrowana.... (no disrespect to the hard working aqis people!!!)
wouldnt even bother the office jockey at aqis answering phone!!!!

The aro's Ronny has found are amazing varities at insanely cheap prices!!! Catch 22 on this, I believe the seller is in Malaysia.
He tells me he has been sending fish to Sydney and East coast with relevant docs. and no trouble.

What is the go with this?

The main issue with that would be finding someone with a quarantine to get them in for you.
Sorry bout that, didn't realise he was international. Just saw the add and thought I'd share.

I found an ad on QLD Gumtree - two Silvers for $600 ea.

Not quite the bulk lot you're looking for though.
