Hey guys,

This is well and truly over dew, Ive been sooooooo busy of late

I need to put a BIG thanks out there to Ollie/Docfish and Aquotix Aquariums, i shall explain,

First of all, Ive been going to Aquotix since i first started keeping fish, always a great deal to be had, even before i knew about any of these forums.

A few weeks ago i bought a 6x2x2.5 marine tank, cab and hood, so i asked Ollie if Aquotix had some suction caps for lifting tanks that i could hire from them, to my delight he said they did, and he gave me a great deal, i got my misses to drop the frosties off at the same time she picked up the suction caps

This was the easiest move Ive had thanks to Ollie and Aquotix, frosties well spent

Then it came time to fill the tank back up with water, live rock and the corals that came with the tank, i had a bit of drama getting hold of one water supplier, but when i rang the guys at fish to do, they got me out of the crapper, but i didn't end up with much time to put it all back together and that's where my problems started,

I hung a patio spot light from a bucket on one of the bands at the top so i could see what i was doing in the murky water, until i got a BIG crack/bang, i crapped me self, grabbed hold of the tank and yelled out to my misses to quickly ring Aquotix and speak to Ollie, even though he was very busy, he still came to the phone to speak to my misses and told us how to empty half water out of the tank, and to give him a call back when we had,

So we did this and i called Ollie at Aquotix about 5 minutes before they closed and filled him in with exactly what i had done, he said all i had to do was stick another bit of glass on top or under the cracked band,

I said cool thats an easy fix, ill come buy tomorrow/ sunday and pick a bit up, but Ollie being the absolute champ he is asked me how long it would take me to get there, i told him and he said he would wait back after the shop closes so i could fix my tank that night,

Not only did Ollie wait back after hours for me, he did me yet another great deal

So if anyone wants great advice, fish or dry goods then go see the guys at Aquotix Aquariums

So once again thanks mate

Cheers Dale

Yeah, I applied for a job after Ollie fixed a tank as a favour. Quite the lad. Good to see he's getting the credit he deserves.

I bought a 5 x 2 x 2 off them a few months back and they loaned me those suction cups free of charge, I was amazed they just trusted me to bring them back as I had been out of fish keeping for around 15 years. The suction cups were so handy, that tank weighed heaps and poor husband plus me(old lady these days) and his cousin (also no spring chicken) managed to get it inside with no dramas!

Thanks guys...

Dale had a need and I had a the gear that could help - and admittedly, he paid for it with a few cold ones.... he then had a major problem that needed fixing asap - and as Johnno said, Im back after hours anyway, so all I did was help someone in need... it makes me feel good, and keeps people in the hobby - something I would appreciate too if it happened to me..... It was no big effort on my behalf really, but I appreciate the good words guys.

If there is anything that I can help with, you all know I will do what I can to help within reason. Some have told me I am too hard to get in touch with lately, so feel free to PM me and after hours I will try my best to answer within a day or two.

Cheers guys - and special thanks to Dale.... btw, the homebrew went down really well.... cheers.gif
