Hi All,

I'm glad to introduce our new sponsor 'Aqua Decors'. Phillip and Danny owners of 'Aqua Decors' plan on opening up a retail outlet. In the meantime they have invented a revolutionary filter called the 'Aqua Genie', a air driven filter. I was sceptical at first but just after 3 days of using it. I can say that it works really well.

You can order them online or visit them at the Canning Vale markets on sunday.

www.aquagenie.com.au

RRP: $49.98
PCS financial members will recieve 15% discount ($42.50ea).

No more need to pull your filter out of your aquarium and disturb your fish, a simply brilliant idea to clean your filter or remove water. Read my review for my information on how it worked for me.

Regards

Daniel

Very interesting Daniel, I will check it out at the markets when I can get there. What strength airpump is required?

Hi Tim,

I'm just using a regular air-pump with 2 outlets, with one outlet hooked up to the filter. Works really well IMO.

Hi Daniel

What size tank are you using it on.
Do you think it would be suitable for larger tanks, say 4ft upwards. :?:

Hi Harry,

I'm using it on a 200L 2.5x2x18 tank.

Phillip told me you can use one on a tank up to 4foot. However I think you would need one per 3 feet. If you can afford it I would use 2 on a 4-6 foot tank.

Ive seen this product, I like the idea, its easy to clean but what concerns me is , is it good enough to run a large tank on its own? Don't get me wrong I was impressed but i was worried about it having very little water current. Would you need to run a powerhead with it?

in the product description on the web page, it says you will need more than one to run a large tank...

but yes, will u also need a power head?

cheers

I cant really answer than question. The inventor doesn't keep cichlids, I think it comes down to stock levels in your tank. Mine is personally running with a powerhead but I will try removing it in the next few days and note the results.

Hi All,

This post is for those who couldn't make it to the meeting to witness this filter.

After the demonstration and Q & A by Melissa and Phillip their filter the Aqua Genie became quite popular amongst those in attendance with several making purchases. So I thought I might aswell buy a few for those who couldn't make it on the night, and show them around some of the local shops.

Send me a PM if your interested in one or more of these filters, pickup will be in Spearwood or as arranged.

Regards

Daniel
