Great night at PCS Meeting. Was a big turnout for an awesome talk from Mattia on his trip to Lake Tanganyika. Very upbeat and funny, we all enjoyed it and learned from it.

Thanks to Seachem for the prizes we handed out during the talk. We raised large funds for Stuart M Grant - Cichlid Preservation Fund.

A thanks go to our 4 new members who signed up tonight. Welcome aboard and we hope you had a good night. We look forward to seeing you again.

Soups and Tiramisu were great, thanks kitchen crew! Money from the kitchen is going towards the Cichlid Preservation Fund.

Tropheus took home a sign Ad Konings book with proceeds to Cichlid Preservation Fund.

Show Table winners were 1. Steve - Sandgroper. 2. Mike - Stormfyre 3. Mike - Michael the fish fanatic. Congratulations on vouchers from Pet Magic.

Thanks to Avid Aquaria, Midand Pets, Vebas, Aquotix, Age Of Aquariums and Rob's Aquariums for tonights raffle prizes. Congratulations to the winners! We raised funds for Cichlid Preservation Fund from tonights raffle.

Sorry for the bad phone picture ;-)

What about my "celebrity" auction off, of a prize I picked off the raffle table (using my boss's ticket) and donated the proceeds toward the Cichlid Preservation Fund?

$5 and some shrapnel. I haven't caught your names yet, but thank you for your generosity.

And I can honestly say and I know it will go to Mattia's head, that it was one of the best talks (both PCS and ANGFA WA) I've attended. I bet he was nervous too.

Great work to all the PCS committee too.

That was great spontaneous auctioning Chris - loved it :)

I agree, one of the best presentations I've listened to for ages. Learnt a lot about these fishes and their natural habitat so thanks for sharing your experience and inspiring us Mattia :) if you were nervous, it didn't show

Would have to agree, one of the best presentations I've seen in a long time. It reminded me of the Spencer Jack talk a few years back.
A little comedy and a heap of info, great stuff Mattia & PCS.

Also would like to say there seems like a change in the air, everyone on the Committee looked happy and fresh.
Awesome to see some old regulars and some new faces too.
I might have to show my face more often.

Thanks again guys, great job. Keep it up.

A word on the Stuart Grant fund, for those who don't know who he is. Stuart was one of the first exporters of cichlids out of Africa and has had a fish farm in Malawi for many years, he also has found a lot of new species and has a few named after him ( Aulonocara stuartgranti) Unfortunately he passed away a few years back :(
If it wasn't for Stuart's efforts and dedication for the hobby you certainly wouldn't see the cichlids we have today in the hobby.
Please try to donate as much a you can.

Mattia, :welldone: :goodjob: and :ThanxSmiley:  you da man.

Yes i second what Az said , i feel the PCS has finally found it's purpose in life with the Stuart Grant foundation and i urge everyone that truely cares about cichlids to get behind it with 100% support. A truely worthy cause and a great way to say thankyou Stuart Grant for bringing these lovely cichlids into our lives. I'd also like to say thankyou to Aquotix for there support to the hobby and the PCS, it was nice to see most of the shop in attendance. You indeed have some wonderful and passionate staff working for you and it's a credit to you. Some of the Best and informative talks have been given by your staff ( Rovik, Mattia ) :welldone: :goodjob:  and :ThanxSmiley:
