Scientific Name: Labidiochromis sp. 'hongi'
Pronunciation: Lab-id-e-o-cro-mis species hong-ee
Trade Name(s): Hongi
Distribution: Hongi, Lundo, Ngkuyo & Liuli Islands, Undu Point
Habitat: Rocky reefs.
Diet: Aufwuchs, Algae.
Sexing: Male's are bluey/purple with an orange head continuing through the dorsal.
Females are usually brown.
Maximum Size: 15cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Commonly Available in Oz.
Comments: This species can be aggressive at times but makes a great addition to a Malawi display tank.

Thanks mate. Next year he will be close to fully grown and prefect to show off at the show.
