Stingrays $1200 for the pair
Female-25cm+ has produced one pup so far.

Tin foil barbs x5 $300 for the lot
Barbs all 20cm+ and very bright fins!

NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE!! I don't need the money. Just would like to cut down my collection.

These are all high quality fish and I'm not mucking round with photos.

If you want to come and have a look in person get in contact with me and we will organise a time.

#302783 I Want Buccal Back On The Site

Posted by SamJohns on 23 December 2013 - 12:58 AM

Plus three.

This forum is of no use to me anymore. Just a heap of little girl keyboard warrior wankers. You've all wrecked it. It was fun for a while.

But saying that.... It has definitely left me with some VERY Knowledgable friends that I can go and interact with in real life, such as Mark and Johnno and a few others.

I'm keepin more and cooler fish than ever now beacause of the connections I've made from both of these Gents. But I don't feel like sharing it on here anymore as I've made enough friends who are as enthusiastic fish keepers as my self and I will welcome them into my house any day to have a look and a chat.

You guys obviously don't like each other. Sort it out in person. Not on here on PMing each other.

#296754 Tbs Going To Way Of Vhs And Cd. Dead Format

Posted by SamJohns on 05 October 2013 - 01:04 AM

I'm still keeping and very interested in these fish along with plenty others.

If anybody wants to hang out/catch up personally who has a genuine interest/collection of exotics/TBs feel free to give me a call, as this forum is a dead format for me these days.

them orio-chromis cichlids - the ones that were declared noxious not all that long ago :)

What a great fish!

How did These become noxious and brasiliensis still aren't? Hmmmmmm....

That was my fish. It's dead now unfortunately. Became a sump fish after they were deemed noxious. Then my dog ate it. Great fish. Hell of a temper.

Only problem is I will not buy fish that are all ready bagged.

You meet some good and some shit people on here and life in general. You just have to be weary with whom you let into your house. I think I am a pretty good judge of character. These days if someone comes over I think is dodgy or might pose a risk they wont get any fish at all and be sent on their way...

#291036 Stolen Fish

I remember when someone broke in and stole Robert's rays :(

Hence why Robert doesnt come on here hardly anymore. Sad thing is he is that nicer fellow he probably still lets who ever and their mates go round to buy fish....

I'd happily get someone sorted out. But he is to nice and doesn't point fingers...

#290992 Videoing Aquariums. What Have People Used? Share Some Videos.

Posted by SamJohns on 02 August 2013 - 06:28 PM

I have tried videoing my tanks with; iPhone "obviously not the best quality" but last night I got my digital camera out, which is quiet expensive and I'm still not happy

I want to buy a camera to take some high quality videos of my aquariums, was thinking a gopro but would love to hear some peoples past experiences.

Feel free to share some videos of your tanks also.

Cheers

Get someone else to burn it down. Safer that way....

#289948 Fish Art/sketch

Posted by SamJohns on 23 July 2013 - 02:52 AM

Nice one mate. Another teqnique that works well is using several different coloured pencils (in my case I use water based markers to sketch out the majority of my tattoo designs) to layer your drawing. Start with a light colour then work up to the darkest. I find getting a bit loose with it increases the flow of your picture so it doesn't look so stiff if you get what I mean. Here's a quick sketch from a while ago to show what I mean. null-76.jpg

#289947 What Could I Add?

Posted by SamJohns on 23 July 2013 - 01:51 AM

Yeah I reckon 1 or 2 oscars should go alright. Maybe chuck a gibi in there for cleaning. You really want to minimise time when it comes to cleaning glass on a tank that size.

#289552 Best Feeder Fish?

Posted by SamJohns on 18 July 2013 - 09:53 PM

Those fish you bought off me will hunt and eat anything they can fit in there mouth. If they can't eat it they will still try kill it. The male killed 3 Snooks twice its size.

Anyone who thinks Jags are Argo obviously haven't kept these fish.

Waste of time breeding feeders. If you want to feed live fish just buy a few feeders now and then.

Personally I steer clear from this these days. It only causes more aggression and once that male is 35-40cm you don't want to do anything to increase aggressive activity!

I've just recently purchased two Umbee. I had 6 decent size Congo tetras with them. 6-8cm. The 12cm male umbee slaughtered 4 of them. Ripping one straight in half. They are now on their own with a big pep and albino BN. Can't wait to see what these fish turn out like!!!!
