It says to push rather than pull smile.gif I'm assuming it pops out on the underside of the motor?

You will need a plunger Oring, (not a valve Oring)

Best bet is to contact the importer:

they will direct you to the nearest LFS in your area that can help.

in the mean time....

in this position - push the plunger up

in this position - push the plunger down

there is one black Oring... you will have to source it over there locally....if you cant find it, contact me.

Putting it back in is not easy - you have to ensure the Oring is not pinched as it goes back in.... I cannot describe what to do - this part is very tricky.

good luck.

It looks like it could do with a clean, there seem to be quite a few particles on it. Check it for tears and coat in vaseline.

yes it does seem a bit dirty...i pull the rubber out....there seem to be scratches on it the ring....

not sure how the original new O-ring should be like.....thicker...more tigher...not too sure...

but do you guys think i can find a replacement at Bunnings??

I might give it a good wash....then put some vaseline and see if the leak still going crazy....

I seem to ring around a few place at my local area...they dont seem to carry Aqua Nova....

Not very popular.....the sales said...Aqua nova has problem after problem....so they dont carry it...

Aqua Nova and Aqua One are almost identical canisters... I own both brands.. so maybe parts for Aquaone CF1200 will fit your canister.. smile.gif

I have an Aqua-One CF1200 with burned out motor, I can check if the o-ring is the same and send it to you if you can't find a replacement. Bunnings will not have the same type ring.

My burnt out one has a plunger, I remember taking it apart. It may not be a CF1200 though...I can't remember.

i was just looking at the o ring and it looks like its starting to form a flat spot around the edge. i would replace it. Look in the yellow pages for a seal company they should have a the o rings in stock. Shouldn't cost more than $2 for one.

Ahh .... I dont understand why the LFS guys in Sydney are a bit backward wacko.gif .... move to Mel or Perth.... laugh.gif

I can send you the right Oring for those units if you need one.
We have not had any more problems than any other Chinese made filter.... the valve seals in one batch and the plunger seals in another... it only affects a couple of models, and these are easily fixed (once you have played with one) and the most recent units are all fine.

I would advise you find someone local that knows about the plunger Orings in Pro 2 Eheims - they go in the same way... be careful not to pinch the Oring on the way back in.

Let me know how you go.
