Out of interest are there any African cichlids that could be kept in with guppies/mollies and/or tetras, etc in Perth water? With small community schooling mid to upper-lever fish. Did wonder on kribs in big enough tank?

kribs are good as long as they dont pair up and kill everything

red jewels are a horrible fish, and i foiund the neon blue jewels to be excessively aggressive in a community tank

why go cichlids? there are far better community fish such as rainbowfish for a community tank

male boesmanis or a school of glossoceps incisus would look mint

Probably some young electric yellows would be your best chance..your see them all the time when people throw anything in a tank
