Go the Barbs!!

They are awesome fish when kept correctly. And as a plus they look WICKED when they school with Clowns especially the Tiger Barbs. I have always wanted to do a massive barb tank with a nice set up like yours.
Black Ruby Barbs are amazing as well.

Discus are fantastic to watch spawn and care for their fry.

I had to go to past Aquotix today so I thought bugger it Im heading in. I havent been in there for around 2yrs!

HOLY GEEZUS!!! they have some kick arse fish in stock and Im spewing my tanks arent up and ready.
A beautiful colony of F.rostratus and very cheap...
If your after some nice and hard to find Malawi's go there for sure...

Also saw some sensational Texas and other Americans.
Overly impressed guys, job very well done.

I have to go to Freo ports possibly next week so I might have to drop by Veba's for a squiz too.

We were a bit run off our feet but Kleinz the trooper made sure everything worked out in the end. Great effort mate

No problems at all, Thats what being a member of the club is all about, helping out everyone.

I would have like to attend, but wasn't able to this time. Hoping to make the next one and may even have some fresh water tanks up and running for the next one

All the effort was put in but hardly anyone rocked up, I found myself bidding on stuff just to try to get some action going

And this is where common names become confusing.....

Brasiliensis are also known as Pearl Horseface

A few years ago most of the Geos were put under the category of "Horseface cichlid"
Hence why we should try to use Latin/scientific names.

After nearly 2 years away from keeping fish (I needed a break after 20yrs) I decided to get a small tank. But that soon changed when I got offered a bargain.
So 2x 6ft tanks later Ive decided to start my fish room up again.

SO it begins......

I had to clear the shed of all the crap we have accumulated in the past 2yrs and redo the walls with polystyrene, I also wanted to seal the shed with silicone so water form the veggie garden didn't creep inside..

Had to ask the tenants to kindly remove themselves from the shed as their lease was up =]

Once the polystyrene was up I wanted it to look a little better than the grubby old foam like Ive had before .

Ive got a massive roll of shade-cloth, so that's what I used. Came up alright and took away the brightness in the shed.

Bring on the auction!!!! so I can fill the 2 tanks.

I have plans to build a rack around the other walls of the shed, possibly 3 rows high all 2ft tanks. But that wont come for a little while yet.

Here's a pair I had a few years back (Thanks Tbone) They were sensational but unfortunately got nailed by another fish out of the blue after living with it for months happily Sometimes you can never tell

Thinking of starting the shed up again, but go all out and do a 3 wall rack.
