Darryl will be guiding us through the world of this genus of enigmatic and (possibly the only) colourful little Tangayikan cichlids.

Subjects covered will be:

species and availability
stocking
water conditions
tank decor
diet
health concerns
fallacies
specimen selection

We will be making the presentations for the annual Breeders' Award Program (BAP) as well, with prizes of New Life Spectrum kindly donated by Think Quality Think Fish, and plaques, for the best breeders.

As usual, the PCS raffle will be operating, with the chance to grab some nice prizes! Always some nice loot on the raffle table! Prizes to be announced.

The show table competition will be  on, with all entrants winning prizes. PM Aquacouple or Az to book a tank, or bring your own
The library will be open with hundreds of books, magazines, and multimedia available for loan.
There will be a members door prize,  and for those that don't have time for dinner beforehand, the bbq will be cranking. Less than $5 for a snag in a roll and a cold can from Cam and Rov the kings of sausage!

Location and details of the meeting can be found HERE(clicky)

So come on down, the old and new members, and we will see you there!

Plenty of colour in Tangs, how ever as with the Malawi's a lot of the females are boring. The Tangs in my view behave more like marine, than the Malawi's.

Never a truer statement uttered.

Make sure and let someone ( Aquacouple or Az)  know if you are bringing a fish for the Show Table!

This coming Tuesday at the meeting, we are also giving out the prizes for the Breeders Award Programme (BAP). Our sponsor Waruna at Think Quality Think Fish has been kind enough to donate the 2KG buckets of New Life Spectrum for the winners, as well as smaller containers of same. Besides this, the winners receive plaques with the details on them.

If you are breeding cichlids or catfish and want to enter, follow the link above or PM Poncho. The contest runs AGM to AGM, so there is plenty of time left.

This year's prizes:

Now I will go and rustle up some raffle stuff :)

The meeting is tonight, peoples!

Among tonight's raffle prizes are a 150cm Illumina t8 fluorescent light with electronic ballast, a Dophin internal filter with built in UV steriliser and an Otto pf400n internal filter.

These great prizes are donated by our sponsors at  Avid Aquaria, Aquarium Online Store, and City Barn, respectively.

There is still a tank available for the show table, if you want to bring your fish (PM Aquacouple or Az to book it). Remember: Every entry (cichlid or catfish) wins a prize!

And cool drinks and sausage will abound! ;)

See you there !
