Hey all,

I am thinking of setting up a nano Aquaponics system in my back yard. Just wondering what's the best way to keep birds away from the fish.

Cheers.

Netting probably the best and cheapest way to go.

There are several options available to you:

Depending on the size of your system, you might go for something like this : http://www.navweaps....k7_Iowa_pic.jpg

Or if you prefer the oldskool way : http://upload.wikime...Cannon_Fire.jpg

If you do not enjoy the walk to your aquaponics system, just get one of these instead and you can keep your system safe from a few miles away http://img11.imagesh...1/4458/m777.jpg

And as a last resort you can always use one of these. Good fun for on the weekend http://3.bp.blogspot...gatling_gun.jpg

Hmm. Decent ideas but they're just a bit too... Original.

Dozen of these flying around should do....

Oh and just incase a couple of these around might help.

Not sure if my plan is a little too weak on the weapons side to kill some birds. Not quite sure. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

The scarecrow motion activated sprinklers would be entertaining.

Paul at Morley stocks these, among others.

Vs birds

Vs cats

Haha yeah, those would be good. But I think I'll just go with Malawimans idea, a net over the top.
