The Perth Cichlid Society is proud to announce:

pcs%20logo%20sml.jpg Sponsor Stimulus Competition 2016

Thursday, 1st December 2016 - Tuesday 28th February 2017.

We love the sponsorship our local fish stores and national fish stores give to the Perth Cichlid Society. They not only give everyone in the club a 10% off all products in their stores, but they also provide the prizes and giveaways for our competitions, events and raffles. They take care of our members with quality service, products and advice for maintaining this wonderful hobby.

It's that time of year again where we thank these aquarium stores with a competition involving folks visiting their stores and purchasing goods. A little 'sponsor stimulus' to get you buying goods from them and visiting their stores to see what they have to offer. Buy products in any PCS Premium sponsor store in the next 3 months for a chnace to win.

For every $20 you spend in a PCS Premium Sponsor store you get one ticket into our raffle to win one of 5 prize packs.

These prize packs have a total value of over $700!

You have 5 prize packs to win! Even more chances to win!!

All you need to do is show us a copy of your receipt from the store and provide a few small details and you will go into the draw. You only need to spend $20 in a store to get into the action, but the more you spend, the more chances you get to win!

Check out some of the prizes you can win -

1st Prize – Fluvel Spec Aquarium plus sponsor goods pack valued at $270.

Awesome! Great idea and fantastic prizes! :)

Quick question: is it over $20 per transaction that gets you one ticket. Or one ticket for every $20 spent?
Eg; I spend $100 in one transaction, get 1 ticket for that transaction. Or I spend $100 and get 5 tickets as that is 5 lots of $20.
Thanks in advance. :)

$100 spent = 5 tickets $20 spent = 1 ticket But if one day you spend $30, and then another day you spend $25, and then $5, you will get 3 tickets total! Capisc?? :)

Please make sure you take a clear photo of the receipt incorporating the date, price and Sponsor store name and pm myself. Please don't hand me receipts at meetings as not only will they possibly be misplaced but you may need them for warranty purposes.

I will keep a copy of each receipt to ensure all tickets are recorded against the total purchase amount. I will let you know how many tickets each member has prior to the draw meeting.

The start date is 1 December 2016 so unfortunately Chen, Wednesday is not included.

Following feedback from last year, we have extended the period of the comp to 3 months so more members can participate and have a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Last year did you show the receipts to Dazzabozza? If you did you were in the draw. The draw was done digitally at random and we did it in front of everyone.

You got 3 months to spend some coins Chen. Sorry you just missed out but i am sure you'll buy something before March.

lol - I wish! Christmas lights for fish tanks??

Once at Midland Bunnings it is only a short walk over to pet store. I just say I'm going to Bunnings as saying I'm going to a hardware and pet store in same day gets questions on which week I'll be back.

Another question. Is it total sum divided by 20 = ticket number?

Or Is it total sum divided by 20 (for each store) = ticket number? So say you spent $55 at one store - get two tickets?

If you spend $55, you get 2 tickets.

Then, if you spend $5 more, either in the same or in a different store, your total will be of $60 spent, so you will get another ticket! Easy peasy! :)

How's everyone doing so far?? Lots of entries?

Cool. Thanks! So far managed to make three shops (admittedly wasn't planning on some equipment purchases). Got to pick up spare bulbs next month at some stage. And maybe some plants. And I'd love to get some large 4ft driftwood branches to start looking at a complete tank redo but still thinking. I want to convert eventually over to a driftwood filled tank with few plants on driftwood and shallow gravel with no plants. Settle it, then discus.

2 months in and the shopping has definitely picked up following Christmas. We have approximately $6k spend at sponsor stores to date with one month to go.

There are currently only 10 members in the competition but all have had multiple buys. Not bad odds for them with 5 prizes up for grabs.

Come on all, get down to your local sponsor store and get those receipts in. Lets not let those 10 have all the fun. I am heading to the store right now to secure my chance.

If you have a receipt and have not sent it through or are waiting to accumulate more, please get them in as soon as possible to avoid the rush at the end.

Remember, competition finishes on the 28th February 2017 (details on how to enter are above).

Only 4 days to go, so don't forget to send me those receipts. Competition closes on Tuesday, 28th February (no exceptions). All receipts will need to be with me (Mac via PCS Forum) by latest the 5th March for me to get them into the draw. No receipts will be excepted on the evening of the meeting.

To date we have approximately $9,000 spent at sponsor stores with only 15 members in the draw.

The draw will be at the Andrew Soh meeting on Tuesday, 7th March, so make sure you are there to pick up your fantastic prize. If you cannot make it, no worries, we will contact you after the meeting to arrange pick up.

Well done everyone that has participated to date.

Holey smoking fish tanks Batman, that's a decent sum of expenditure - out of interest is that more than last time?
